Cartier, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Nissan Europe, torchbearer of the Olympic Flame in Athens

On April 27th Guillaume Cartier Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at #nissan Europe was invited by Nick. J. Theocharakis SA - #nissan Greece, the official Automaker partner of the Hellenic Olympic Committee and Rio 2016, on the occasion of Olympic Torch Relay on Greek Soil.

 

Mr Cartier also attended the famous Ceremony of the Olympic Flame. The torch travelled 2,235km around Greece before being officially presented to the Committee of the Olympic Games of Rio 2016. The ceremony was held at the Panathenaic Stadium, site of the first modern Olympic Games in presence of the President of the Greek Republic.

 

Representing #nissan, #guillaumecartier was asked to carry the Olympic Flame from Dionysius Aeropagitou up to the Temple of Olympian Zeus. “I was excited and honoured to carry the Olympic Torch (…) it’s something I’ll never forget! I am also pleased to celebrate Nissan’s continued growth in this wonderful country!” commented Mr Cartier.

 

The #nissan brand is enjoying an excellent sales performance in Greece. In 2015 Nissan’s market share was 8.6%. From January to March 2016 #nissan Greece is number one with an 11.8% market share and strong results in both in retail and fleet.
