Jordan brand launches the Westbrook 0.2
Tomorrow, #jordanbrand will release its second signature off-court shoe with an athlete who takes #fashion personally, Russell Westbrook.
“Fashion is a passion I’ll continue pursuing once I’m done playing,” says Westbrook. "It’s a great honor to work with the brand again on creating my second signature design.”
Taking cues from Jordan Brand’s iconic shoe lineage, the #westbrook02 features an Air Jordan VI-inspired upper and Air Jordan I KO tooling. The shoe offers a premium blend of leathers and suedes with double stitching details.
“The design team and I took global inspiration for the shoe and wanted to create a style that could be worn by kids and adults," says Westbrook. "For the #westbrook02, I wanted a higher silhouette with a raw design that you could pair with different materials and textures on the shoe.”
Russell’s logo is highlighted on the tongue, in addition to the words “Why Not?” on the inside of the shoe, which is a mantra Westbrook lives by.
The #westbrook02 will launch tomorrow, October 15, on Jordan.com and at select Jordan retail stores for a suggested retail price of $140.
