The new U23 European champion was preceded by Arzuffi and Casasola
Chiara Teocchi debuted in her Women’s U23 European champion's jersey finishing third overall at Gp Mamma e Papà Guerciotti, international cyclocross #event in Milan's Idroscalo on Tuesday, November 1st. Team #bianchi Countervail's athlete, turning 20 next month, completed the seven laps in 46:00, 44 seconds behind élite Alice Maria Arzuffi and 13 seconds behind Sara Casasola.
The Italian rider confirmed her feeling with #bianchi Zolder disc, and the podium habit in this race: in the past, she had clinched two runner-up placements and a third spot. "I'm happy with my performance and the result, though I possibly paid a bit of pressure and emotion for the debut as European champion so near to my home. In the early race, I fought for the second position with Casasola, before she opened a few second advantage and kept it until the finish line" Chiara commented.
Teocchi will be back to #racing at Ciclocross a Salvarotonda in Godega di Sant'Urbano (North-Eastern Italy) on Sunday, November 13th. Meanwhile, a deserved rest week-end is in store for the Under 23 rider, after the triumph at European championships and the podium at Gp Guerciotti.
