Nikelab and Stone Island collaborate on third nike Windrunner

For the past two seasons, #nikelab and #stoneisland have collaborated to reimagine the #nike #windrunner. The first, for Holiday 2015, combined Stone Island’s Nylon Metal fabric on the body with water and wind-resistant Mussola Gommata fabric on the chevron and hood. The second, for Fall 2016, combined two water and wind-resistant nylons while mimicking traditional #nike #windrunner colorblocking. Both drew from #nike and Stone Island’s histories of innovating in #sport and material design.
For the third installment of the collaboration, the design teams continued to prioritize comfort, weather protection and mobility. Made from a custom, dip-dyed rip-stop nylon fabric in three saturated mineral color options (khaki, olive and obsidian), the jacket has water-resistant coating on the outer fabric, interior wool fleece lining and a detachable, fleece-lined hood. Oversized, shearling-lined zip pockets protect valuables, in addition to a storm flap that snaps over the front zip for added wind protection. Additional new features include a hidden coin sleeve pocket, a removable #stoneisland badge and a custom-built zipper with TPU print for grip.
The #nikelab x #stoneisland #nike #windrunner is available November 17 at select #nikelab retailers and #stoneisland Flagship Stores, #nike.com, #stoneisland.com and – for North America – on the #stoneisland App.
