Converse and fragment design unveil quartet of Chuck ‘70s

Self-described as a “cultural DJ,” Hiroshi Fujiwara is synonymous with sophisticated style and cool. Already regarded as the Godfather of Harajuku – a Tokyo neighborhood he is credited for transforming through this work in youth culture and streetwear – Hiroshi continues to define youth culture worldwide.

In his latest collaboration with #converse, the head designer of fragment design offers a quartet of #converse Chuck Taylor All Star ’70 which he describes as, “the sneakers that go with your tuxedo and dress.”

Aptly named the #converse X fragment Design Tuxedo collection, the shoes feature nods to the men’s formal wear like satin heel and a singular black stripe on the lace aglet. The women’s version, a white colorway, features subtle lace detailing on the heel stay, mimicking a traditional wedding gown material.

The new Converse x fragment Design collection launches February 16 at #converse flagship doors, #converse.com and select retailers.
