Land Rover’s portfolio of legendary #rugby ambassadors today attended a special screening #event at Kew Gardens to coincide with the Official Pool Allocation Draw for #rugby World Cup 2019, which will be staged in Japan.

Former #rugby World Cup winners #jonnywilkinson (England) and #bryanhabana (South Africa) were joined by current England international #jameshaskell and current Ireland international #jamieheaslip, as well as former Wales International #shanewilliams at the #event which was staged at the Japanese Gateway at Kew Gardens in London.  The players watched the Draw live from Kyoto in Japan and then gave their reactions to the draw which determines the pools for the Tournament.

Land Rover recently announced it was extending its 20-year heritage in #rugby by renewing as a proud Worldwide Partner of #rugby World Cup 2019, which will be the first #rugby World Cup to be staged in Asia, and in a developing #rugby nation.

The players gave their thoughts on the four different pools, as well as predictions for who will reign supreme come 2019 when the 20 top #rugby nations come together in the world’s third biggest sporting #event.

Jonny Wilkinson’s thoughts on why England’s tough draw could help Eddie Jones’ side win the #rugby World Cup: “England have found themselves in a tricky group but at the same time it’s a very positive thing for me on the basis that they will have to be on their game early on and those pool fixtures will only serve to refine them and put them in even better stead for the latter stages. It’s a difficult group but for me, it should be positive as long as the preparation goes to plan.”
