Tempier e Teocchi break the ice at Gaerne MTB Trophy
Team #bianchi Countervail's #stephanetempier and #chiarateocchi broke the ice and took their first seasonal win at the #gaernemtbtrophy in Maser (Italy) on Sunday, April 30th. The Frenchman topped the Men’s Open race ahead of a Gioele Bertolini (+1:13) and Jhonnatan Botero Villagas (+1:30). Tempier's teammate Marco Aurelio Fontana finished fifth. #chiarateocchi soloed in the Women Open race with a 1:26 advantage on Serena Calvetti and 2:41 on Giorgia Marchet.
TEMPIER: "DEDICATED TO MY GIRLFRIEND"
Stephane Tempier dedicates his victory to a very special person: "I'm really happy with my performance and my first seasonal win. It wasn't easy. I wish to thank the whole #bianchi MTB Team and our sponsor Gaerne. This victory is for my girlfriend Melodie" the race winner commented.
TEOCCHI: "FOR GAERNE AND OUR WHOLE TEAM"
Chiara Teocchi doesn’t hide her joy as well: "I'm really happy to have claimed my first 2017 win here, where I'm testimonial of the #event and our partner and supplier Gaerne is also main sponsor of the race. I dedicate this to Gaerne, the Gazzola Family and to my whole team. I tried to set the pace from the start and I completed the opening lap with a 20-second gap on Serena Calvetti, and then I eventually extended it further. Now, after a short rest, we'll start focusing on the first World Cup rounds".
THREE TOP 10 FOR THE JUNIOR TEAM
Bianchi MTB Junior Team scored three Top 10 spots at the #gaernemtbtrophy: Rookies Marco Gozzi, Fiammetta Allocca and Cadet Simone Minotti finished ninth, Rookie Vadim Bodnarenko was 14th after a strong comeback.
TEAM’S BIKES
Bianchi supplies the team with two high-end carbon models with #racing geometry: the revolutionary Methanol CV and Methanol 29.1 FS (full suspension). The Junior Team is equipped with Methanol 29 SX model.
