2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ preview: Germany


The 2018 FIFA World Cup™ is taking place in Russia for the first time and 11 stadiums from 12 cities will host tournament matches. The opening match between Russia and Saudi Arabia will kick off proceedings at the 81,000-capacity Luzhniki Stadium on 14 June, with the final coming a month later on 15 July at the same venue.

To kick off our series looking at the major European contenders, we’re be assessing the hopes and dreams of current holders Germany. Joachim Löw’s side are looking to become the first team to retain the FIFA World Cup™ since Brazil won their second in a row in 1962.
