(Herzogenaurach, Germany)—Following the highly-coveted #adidas #originals by Daniëlle Cathari collaboration, the brand once again taps an emerging designer to reimagine its iconic three stripes. Looking to New York as a source of inspiration, #adidas #originals found their newest creative partner in Parson’s graduate and rising star #oliviaoblanc. Presented in the form of a 15 piece gender-fluid collection, the collaboration defies traditional design conventions.

Debuted during a multi-sensory, immersive presentation in London, #adidas #originals by #oliviaoblanc celebrates the designer’s creative spirit and reinforces the brand’s commitment to youth focused innovation.

Having been introduced through the brand, #adidas #originals family member Kendall Jenner worked closely with Olivia to curate an eclectic group of young creators whose work was featured throughout the presentation.

In a shared ongoing spirit of providing a platform to creators, Oblanc, Jenner and #originals tapped into three talented young filmmakers to showcase the collection through their unique lenses in a series of campaign films thematically centering around the concepts of music, #fashion and beauty. Irish director Leonn Ward infuses the energy and exuberance for which her work is known into a piece celebrating the collection’s bold freedom through joyful dance shot in the side streets of London. London-based Ronan McKenzie offers a fashion-inspired take rendering the collection in jewel-toned shadows and striking angles against an industrial backdrop, and British Stephen Isaac-Wilson’s interpretation invokes his idea of beauty via an emotive, ethereal atmosphere juxtaposing the collection’s street sensibility.

The collaborative collection sees #oliviaoblanc reimagine #adidas Originals’ sportswear heritage through her unique workwear inspired lens. Taking inspiration from the fervently loud colours of utility focused garments, the collection is made up in a palette of strong Blues, Reds, and Yellows. Paired with aesthetically powerful functionally focused silhouettes, the collection’s hues evoke a feeling of unbridled confidence. Informed by a shared commitment to sustainability, select pieces from the collaboration feature Parlay’s recycled fabrics - a nod to Olivia’s own line which utilises upcycled and reworked garments. 

Reworking the brands’ iconic adicolor series for the contemporary consumer, #adidas #originals by #oliviaoblanc experiments with gender-fluid silhouettes. Strong advocates for inclusivity, both the designer and the brand sought to create a collection that champions freedom of expression and is wearable for all. Featuring hoodies, track tops, cargo pants, and bold jackets, the collection stays true to adidas’ sportswear identity whilst melding seamlessly with Olivia Oblanc’s utility focused design ethos.
