VIDEO ALERT: Maxi Edmond de Rothschild win the Brest Atlantiques

Winners of #brestatlantiques #franckcammas, #CharlesCaudrelier, and their media man Yann Riou, were welcomed with great cheers and celebrations as they docked late this morning at La Recouvrance pontoon on Quai Malbert in Brest. A welcome greatly appreciated by both skippers, after achieving this their first big offshore victory for Maxi Edmond de Rothschild.

After 28 days, 23 hours, 24 minutes and 46 seconds at sea, #franckcammas and #CharlesCaudrelier, accompanied by their media man Yann Riou, crossed the finish line this morning at 10:24:46am (local time), ahead of MACIF and Actual Leader, after covering a total of 17,084 miles at an average speed of 24.57 knots.

Maxi Edmond de Rothschild, designed by Guillaume Verdier with the help of Gitana’s design team, and built at the Multiplast boatyard in Vannes, France, is now the standard trimaran for the Ultim fleet, and the first that has been specifically designed to fly offshore.
