Fighting against Covid-19: THOK supports Green Cross volunteers

THOK is giving away a customized "Loris Capirossi" MIG to purchase the necessary equipment for ambulances. Here's how the raffle works

Alongside doctors and nurses there are many voluntary associations daily engaged in the fight against Coronavirus. Ambulance rescuers are the first to come into contact with the patients, to assist them or to transport them to the hospitals. This activity is constantly exposing them to contagion.

THOK E-Bikes is mobilizing to support the Green Cross of Rivoli and Rosta (Turin), whose 250 volunteers are putting their lives at risk, every day, to help the victims of the epidemic.

Piedmont is one of the Italian regions which has been most affected by COVID-19 and the outbreak is concentrated around Turin.

From the very beginning of the emergency the Green Cross of Rivoli and Rosta (http://www.croceverderivoli.it) , two municipalities that are close to the region capital, has been handling the transport of COVID-19 patients discharged from hospitals, These are subjects that are still sick but sent home to isolation.

This association has been operating for 25 years, with over 250 volunteers and advanced emergency vehicles, working 24 hours a day. Today, its primary need is to obtain special machineries to quickly sanitize the ambulances, after each transport. In this way they are reusable - in the shortest possible time – for the next patient.

This bike is the winner of the survey of the reputed Italian media eBIKECULT as the most desired e-bike from readers. The #thok MIG e-mtb will be delivered to a lucky person, extract from donors and in the desired size.

The sum paid by each participant will be allocated directly and in full to the non-profit organization "Volunteers’ Association Croce Verde Rivoli Onlus".

The value of the #thok MIG offered by #thok is 4,150 euros.

As bikers we all know that the climbs are less tiring if shared with a companion, even when the bike is pedal assisted. We ask all enthusiasts for support to reach the top of this demanding climb.

The donations received will help a courageous association to cope with the ongoing health emergency, helping to save the lives of the sick persons as well as those of the rescuers.

It will also allow the ambulances to be reused safely after each intervention.

Thank you for your attention and the space you will devote to this initiative.
