Corinthians 2016 home football kit

Building on Corinthians' proud, more than century-long history, rich with traditions, the “Timão” unveil a new #homekit for the 2016 season. Along with underscoring this heritage, the kit supports the club’s belief that it doesn’t matter which players take the field; what matters is the crest on their shirts. “I joined the club just a few months ago, but the responsibility of wearing this uniform is already clear,” says midfielder Giovanni Augusto. “I am very proud of placing my hand on my chest and saying: 'I’m Corinthians!'”
Breaking from previous home kits, the new home shirt is predominantly white, with a vintage off-white cast similar to that of the #corinthians jerseys worn just after the club was founded in 1905. However, the club’s past polo collar has given way to a V-neck design. Additionally, the word “Timão” adorns the shirt’s inside back collar. Black shorts provide a bold contrast while white socks, the same shade as the shirt, complete the kit.
The #homekit will debut on-pitch Sunday, May 15, when #corinthians faces Grêmio at Arena #corinthians for the Brasilian National Championships.
The shirt is available now at #nike.com and beginning May 18 at official retailers.
These new kits have been created to give players the very latest #nike innovations in fabric construction, performance technology, moisture management and environmental sustainability.
