20 short films reveal the history behind traditions like the Gator Chomp, the Game Ball Run and Calling the Hogs NASHVILLE, Tenn. – There is a storied history behind many famous college traditions and #nissan has documented the excitement in a series of short films. As Official #sponsor of 100 college and university athletic programs nationwide and proud supporter of select NCAA Championships, #nissan put college sports fans in the starring role as the experts in excitement for their teams.

The "Fan-Fueled Traditions" of 20 universities were crowd-sourced from devotees of individual schools, and then were brought to life in short films that were authentically captured on each college campus.

"Each of these films stars real fans capturing the unique character, passion and heritage important to collegiate sports," said Jeremy Tucker, vice president, Marketing Communications and Media, #nissan North America. "Nissan proudly extends our sponsorship of college athletics to celebrate the fans who support student-athletes at universities nationwide through the excitement of game day traditions."

As the college football season wraps up with conference championship week, #nissan is releasing six films at Facebook.com/NissanUSA. Each celebrates an iconic tradition of football fandom. The remaining 14 films will be released throughout December and into the first quarter of 2017.
