Seon, January 11, 2022 – The Swiss outdoor company Mammut Sports Group AG ("Mammut") has appointed Wilhelm Matheson as its new and experienced Chief Financial Officer. This decision fills another key position afterthe global mountain sports brand had already anchored the subjects of "People and Culture" within its management in November 2021.

Wilhelm Matheson will take up his position as successor to ad-interim CFO Martin Dörig in May 2022. Born in Norway, Matheson was CFO at Helly Hansen for over ten years and thus has substantial experience. Furthermore, he has solid ties to Switzerland: "My wife is Swiss, and I studied here. Above all, however, I am a passionate mountain sports enthusiast. For me, working for an iconic brand like Mammut – looking at the long history and huge potential - feels truly like coming home," says Wilhelm Matheson, who is looking forward to his new role.

Next to Wilhelm Matheson's new appointment, a further change within management was decided. Following on from successfully completing the Commercial division's realignment over the past two years, Mammut's management and the previous Chief Commercial Officer, Oliver Arndt, have chosen to go their separate ways. Simen Mordre, until now Head of Region EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), will take over the role of Chief Commercial Officer ad interim to ensure the successful continuation of the company's development. #gregnieuwenhuys, Executive Chairman of Mammut, added: "Oliver has succeeded in transforming the Commercial division together with a strong team and achieved significant success. I am grateful to Oliver for his commitment to the Mammut brand and wish him the best for the future.".

Greg Nieuwenhuys is proud of the positive development. Compared to the prior year, Mammut realized a 17% increase in sales. Additionally, the Swiss mountain sports brand is seeing a very strong sell-in around the globe for the year 2022, which Nieuwenhuys sees as proof of the Mammut brand's strength, as well as the appreciation of its high-quality products.
