OLMO - The Sangemini MG. KVIS recruitment campaign for next season at the starting block

On  their  way  are  three  young,  promising  talents,  Colnaghi Puccioni and  Viviani to  strengthen  the  line- up  for  the  2018/2019  season

Angelo Baldini confirms 9/12ths of his line-up from last season and adds this promising trio of athletes to refresh the team and fill the spaces left by Orrico, Buongiorno and Bernardini. Olmo’s General Manager, Andrea Farmakakis, has stressed that the Continental team’s main objective is to reconfirm the results of 2017 and improve both individual and groupperformances. The challenge for the squad, and indeed for the Team market, will once again be to help the young members develop as sportsmen.

Luca Colnaghi, born in 1999 in Lombardy, with three wins behind him in 2017, including the  Trofeo Buffoni, already has a fair amount of international experience.

Italian Road Vice-Champion in 2016, he came ninth last season in the Tour of Flandersand also took part with the national team in the Bergen Junior Road Race in Norway.

Another important arrival is Elia Viviani’s brother, Attilio Viviani, from the Colpack Team.

A sprint and track cyclist, he won the Tre sere di Busto Garolfo e Pordenone. As a junior, he triumphed in the 2014 European Scratch Championship.

Lastly, the all-rounder, Dario Puccioni, born in 1996 like Viviani, has numerous important rankings to his name, including third place in the classic Montalbano to Bacchereto (Po) Tour. The new members make the Sangemini-MG.K Vis-Olmo-Vega extremely competitive.

While waiting to complete recruitment, the Continental teamsupported by Olmo is focusing on moving to the Professional circuit in 2019-2020.

Farmakakis stressed how ambitious this goal is, so next season will concentrate on consolidating its sports project, which began so successfully last year.
