Kane claims EA SPORTS Player of the Month award

Harry Kane has won March's EA SPORTS Player of the Month award, earning the prize for the seventh time to equal the #premierleague record held by Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero.

It comes after a month in which the Tottenham Hotspur striker also became the competition's all-time leading away goalscorer, breaking Wayne Rooney’s record of 94 goals with his strike in a 2-0 victory at Brighton & Hove Albion.

Kane had a league-leading six goal involvements during March as Spurs boosted their top-four bid with three wins in four matches.

He kicked off the month with two sublime efforts as Spurs triumphed 5-0 against Everton and followed that up with another goal in a narrow 3-2 defeat at Manchester United.

After the record-breaking trip to Brighton, the 28-year-old wrapped up March with two assists for Son Heung-min as Spurs leapfrogged West Ham United into fifth spot with a 3-1 win over the Hammers.

Kane topped an eight-man shortlist that also featured Matty Cash, Trevoh Chalobah, Kai Havertz, Dejan Kulusevski, Andrew Robertson, Bukayo Saka and Ivan Toney.
